    How to use the CSV / Excel viewer

    1. Drop a .csv, .tsv, .xlsx, .xls or .ods file onto the box above — the delimiter is detected for you.
    2. Click a column heading to sort, type in the filter box to keep only matching rows, and switch sheets with the tabs if the workbook has several.
    3. Press Export CSV or Export JSON to save exactly what you are looking at, filter and sort included.

    FAQ

    How big a file can it open?

    The table is virtualised — only the rows on screen exist in the page — so files with hundreds of thousands of rows scroll smoothly. The practical limit is your device's memory, since the whole sheet is held in the tab.

    Is my spreadsheet uploaded?

    No. Parsing happens inside your browser with JavaScript, so confidential exports, customer lists and finance reports never leave the machine.

    Why do some Excel values look different?

    Cells are read as the formatted text Excel would show, so dates and currencies keep their display format instead of turning into serial numbers. Formulas are shown as their last calculated value.
