    FAQ

    Does it lose image quality?

JPG and PNG files are embedded byte-for-byte, so there is no re-compression at all. Formats that PDF cannot hold natively — WebP, BMP, TIFF, GIF, HEIC — are converted to high-quality JPEG first, which is the only way to get them into a PDF.

    Do my photos get uploaded?

Never. Decoding and PDF writing happen inside this page with pdf-lib, so passports, receipts and medical scans stay on your device. You can even use the tool with the network switched off after the page has loaded.

How do I fit a whole photo onto A4 without white bars?

White bars appear because a photo's shape rarely matches the paper. Either choose “Fit each image exactly”, which makes every page the size of its image, or switch the fill mode to “Fill the box”, which crops the edges instead.
