How to add page numbers to a PDF

  1. Drop in the PDF — the first page appears as a live preview.
  2. Pick one of the six positions, then set the format (1, 1 / 12, Page 1 or your own), the first number, the font size and the margin. The preview updates as you type.
  3. Press Add page numbers and download the stamped file.

FAQ

Can I skip the cover page?

Yes. Set “Start on page” to 2 and the cover stays clean. “First number” controls what the first stamped page is called, so you can start counting at 1 on page 2 — or at any other number.

Does it work on landscape or rotated pages?

Yes. The number is placed relative to the page as it is displayed, so a rotated scan gets its number in the corner you actually see.

Can I write “第 3 页 / 共 12 页”?

Yes — choose Custom and type any text with {n} and {total} in it. Chinese, Japanese and Korean text is rendered as a high-resolution image so it shows up in every PDF reader.
