How to convert ODT to PDF

    1. Drop an .odt file above. OpenDocument files are zip archives, and this page unzips and reads content.xml locally — no upload.
    2. Choose paper size, orientation and margins. The preview shows the headings, paragraphs, lists, tables and pictures that were found.
    3. Press Convert to PDF to download the file.

    FAQ

Where do .odt files come from?

LibreOffice Writer and Apache OpenOffice save in ODT by default, and Google Docs can export to it. It is the ISO-standard OpenDocument format, so it is common in government, education and anywhere vendor lock-in is a concern.

    What survives the conversion?

Headings and their levels, paragraphs, bulleted and numbered lists, tables (including simple column spans) and embedded pictures. Character styling defined in the file's automatic styles — specific fonts, colours, bold and italic runs — plus headers, footers, footnotes and page breaks are not applied; the text is re-flowed with clean typography instead.

    Does Chinese text work?

Yes. Pages are laid out by the browser before they become PDF pages, so Chinese, Japanese, Korean and any other script your device can display comes out correctly.
