Kindle now accepts EPUB directly — email the file to your Send-to-Kindle address or drop it into the Kindle app. No MOBI needed.
How to convert PDF to EPUB
- Drop the PDF above. The text is extracted locally with pdf.js — the file is never uploaded.
- Fill in a title and author (they show up in your library), and choose how chapters are split. “At every detected heading” gives the most book-like result.
- Press Convert to EPUB, then open the file in Apple Books, Kobo, Calibre, Moon+ Reader — or send it to Kindle.
FAQ
Do I need a MOBI file for Kindle?
No. Amazon retired MOBI: Send to Kindle and the Kindle apps take EPUB directly and convert it on Amazon's side. Email this .epub to your @kindle.com address, or drag it into the Kindle desktop or mobile app.
Why does the text reflow differently from the PDF?
That is the point of EPUB. A PDF fixes every line to a paper page; an EPUB re-flows text to whatever screen and font size the reader uses. Fixed page furniture — running headers, footers, page numbers, multi-column layouts and floating figures — does not survive that change and may appear out of order.
Are images included?
Not yet: this converter builds a text-first eBook (headings, paragraphs, reading order). For an illustrated PDF where the pictures matter, read the original PDF or convert it to page images instead.
