How to convert PDF to Word

    1. Drop your PDF onto the box above (or click it to pick a file). Nothing is uploaded — the file is parsed by JavaScript on your own device.
    2. Choose Editable text for a document you want to rewrite, or Page images when the layout matters more than editing. Add a page range like 1-3,7 if you only need part of the file.
    3. Press Convert to Word. A real .docx file downloads, ready for Word, Pages, WPS or Google Docs.

    FAQ

Will the layout look exactly like the PDF?

Not always. Text mode rebuilds paragraphs and headings from the position and size of every character, which is ideal for editing but drops columns, exact spacing and decorative graphics. If you need the page to look identical, pick Page images — each page is embedded as a picture inside the Word file, so it is pixel-accurate but no longer editable text.

My PDF is a scan — why is the Word file empty?

A scanned page holds pixels, not characters, so there is nothing to extract. Use Page images mode to keep the scan inside a Word file, or run the pages through an OCR tool first.

Is my document uploaded to a server?

No. The PDF is opened with pdf.js and the .docx is written with the docx library, both running inside this page. The file never leaves your browser, so confidential contracts and CVs stay private.
