    Conversion mode

Selectable text writes real text into the PDF but can only use the Latin fonts built into PDF readers. Automatic switches to rendering as soon as Chinese, Japanese or Korean characters appear.

Approximate layout Text, pictures and tables are placed at the coordinates stored in the file. Themes, backgrounds, SmartArt, charts, animations and transitions are not reproduced — this is a fast reader, not PowerPoint itself.

How to convert PowerPoint to PDF

    1. Drop a .pptx file above. A .pptx is a zip archive, and this page unzips and reads it locally — nothing is uploaded.
    2. Look at the slide preview. It shows exactly what the converter understood from the file.
    3. Press Convert to PDF — one PDF page per slide, at the slide's own aspect ratio.

    FAQ

    How faithful is the result?

Text boxes, placeholder titles, pictures and simple tables are read straight out of the slide XML and drawn at their stored positions, so the reading order and layout are right. Theme backgrounds, gradients, shape fills, SmartArt, charts, WordArt effects, animations and transitions are not rendered. For a pixel-perfect deck, export to PDF from PowerPoint or Keynote.

Why do my Chinese slides look different in “selectable text” mode?

PDF's built-in fonts contain Latin characters only, so CJK text cannot be written as text without embedding a large font file. Exact render draws the slide in the browser first, which supports every script — that is why Automatic picks it when it sees CJK.

Can it open old .ppt files?

No. The binary .ppt format from PowerPoint 97–2003 is not readable here. Open it once in PowerPoint, Keynote, WPS or LibreOffice and save as .pptx.
