FAQ
Does Chinese, Japanese or Korean text work?
Yes. The document is laid out by the browser and then rasterised, so any script your system can display — Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Cyrillic, emoji — appears in the PDF exactly as it does on screen. Most JavaScript PDF writers cannot do this because their built-in fonts only cover Latin.
Why can't I select the text in the resulting PDF?
Each page is rendered as a high-resolution image, which is what makes complex layouts and non-Latin fonts reliable. If you need selectable text, export to PDF from Word itself; for sharing, printing and archiving, this output is equivalent.
What is not carried over?
Headers and footers, footnotes, comments, tracked changes, text boxes and exact Word page breaks are dropped — the document is re-flowed into the page size you chose. Headings, paragraphs, bold and italic, lists, tables and embedded images all come through.
