Mirroring is applied to the saved photo and video too, so what you see is what you get. Turn it off when you are filming text or a whiteboard.

How to take a photo or record with your webcam
- Click Open camera and allow access when the browser asks. Pick a camera and resolution if you have more than one.
- Press Take photo — with a 3, 5 or 10 second countdown if you need time to get into frame — or Start recording for video.
- Everything lands in the list on the right; download what you want and click Close camera to switch the light off.
FAQ
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. The video never leaves the page: frames are drawn onto a canvas in your own browser and turned into a file you download. Nothing is sent anywhere and nothing is kept after you close the tab.
Why is the picture mirrored?
Because a mirrored preview feels natural — that is how video-call apps show you. The saved file matches the preview, so tick the box off before filming text, a whiteboard or a document, otherwise the writing comes out backwards.
How do I make sure the camera is really off?
Click Close camera, which stops every track and turns the indicator light off. Leaving or reloading the page does the same thing automatically.
