How to take a screenshot from a video

  1. Drop an MP4, WebM or MOV file onto the box — it opens straight from your disk.
  2. Drag the slider (or step frame by frame with the arrows) until you see the moment you want.
  3. Pick PNG, JPG or WebP and click Capture frame. Captures pile up in a list you can download one by one or as a ZIP.

FAQ

What resolution are the screenshots?

Exactly the video's own resolution — a 4K video gives 3840×2160 stills, no matter how small the preview looks on screen. The preview is scaled for the page, the capture is not.

What is a contact sheet?

One image made of many small frames taken at a fixed interval, like a film strip. Set the interval and the number of columns, and the tool grabs every frame, labels it with its timestamp and tiles them into a single PNG or JPG — handy for a video summary or a thumbnail pick.

PNG, JPG or WebP?

PNG is lossless and best for text, UI captures and anything you will edit further. JPG is much smaller for photographic frames. WebP sits between the two and is supported by every current browser.
