Conversion is drawn through your browser's canvas, so EXIF, GPS and colour-profile tags are not carried over — handy when you want to strip metadata before sharing.

How to convert AVIF to JPG

    1. Drop the .avif images into the box — several at once is fine.
    2. Choose a JPG quality; 90 keeps the picture looking the same on screen.
    3. Press Convert to JPG and download the files, individually or as a ZIP.

    FAQ

Why can't my software open AVIF?

AVIF is a very new format based on the AV1 video codec. Modern browsers decode it, but Windows needs an extension, and many editors, printers and messaging apps still reject it. JPG works everywhere.

    Will the file get bigger?

Usually, yes. AVIF is extremely efficient, so the JPG version of the same picture is often two to four times larger at comparable quality. That is the price of compatibility.

The image failed to load — why?

Your browser needs to be able to decode AVIF. Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari 16+ all can; older browsers cannot, and the row will show an error.
