Conversion is drawn through your browser's canvas, so EXIF, GPS and colour-profile tags are not carried over — handy when you want to strip metadata before sharing.

How to convert JPG to PNG

    1. Drop your JPG or JPEG photos onto the box.
    2. Leave the defaults — PNG is lossless, so there is no quality slider to worry about.
    3. Press Convert to PNG and download the results, or take the whole batch as a ZIP.

    FAQ

Will the picture look better as a PNG?

No. PNG stores exactly the pixels that were decoded from the JPG, including any JPEG artefacts that are already baked in. Converting to PNG stops further loss when you edit and re-save, but it cannot recover detail.

Why is the PNG bigger than the JPG?

PNG is lossless, so a photograph typically grows three to eight times. That is expected; use PNG for editing or for screenshots and logos, and JPG or WebP for publishing photos.

Can I get a transparent background?

Not automatically — a JPG has no transparency to restore. The output PNG will have a fully opaque background.
