Conversion is drawn through your browser's canvas, so EXIF, GPS and colour-profile tags are not carried over — handy when you want to strip metadata before sharing.

How to convert BMP to JPG

    1. Drop the .bmp bitmaps into the box — Windows screenshots and old clip-art all work.
    2. Choose a quality; 85–92 gives a large size saving with no visible loss.
    3. Press Convert to JPG, then download the files or the whole batch as a ZIP.

    FAQ

Why are BMP files so huge?

A BMP stores every pixel raw, three bytes each, with no compression at all. A 1920×1080 screenshot takes about 6 MB as BMP and typically under 400 KB as JPG.

Will text and screenshots still be sharp?

Mostly. JPG smears hard edges slightly, so if the bitmap is a screenshot full of small text, convert it to PNG instead — that stays pixel-perfect.

    Is anything uploaded?

No, the whole conversion happens in your browser.
