How to convert an image
- Drop one or more images onto the box — PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, TIFF, SVG and iPhone HEIC/HEIF all work.
- Pick the output format. For JPG, WebP and AVIF drag the quality slider; for anything going to JPG or BMP choose the colour that replaces transparency.
- Press Convert, then download each file or grab them all as one ZIP.
FAQ
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Decoding and encoding both happen in this tab, using canvas plus a HEIC and a TIFF decoder that are loaded into the page on demand. Your files never touch a server, which is why the tool keeps working offline once the page is loaded.
What happens to EXIF and GPS data?
It is dropped. Every image is redrawn pixel by pixel, so camera model, timestamps, GPS coordinates and colour profiles do not survive the round trip. If you need EXIF preserved, convert with a desktop tool instead.
Why is AVIF missing from the list?
The AVIF option only appears when your browser can actually encode AVIF from a canvas. Reading AVIF works almost everywhere; writing it does not, so the option is hidden rather than silently giving you a PNG.
Which formats keep transparency?
PNG, WebP, AVIF, TIFF and ICO do. JPG, BMP and GIF output are flattened onto the background colour you choose.
