This is high-quality resampling, not AI super-resolution. It makes an image larger and smoother, and sharpening can recover some apparent crispness — but it cannot invent detail that was never captured. A blurry photo stays blurry, just bigger.

How to enlarge an image

- Pick 2×, 3× or 4× and a resampling mode: stepped doubles repeatedly for the smoothest result, direct is one jump, and nearest neighbour keeps hard pixel edges for pixel art and sprites.
- Add a little sharpening if the result looks soft, check it against the original with the slider, then download.
FAQ
Is this AI upscaling?
No, and it is important to be clear about that. It is bicubic-style resampling done in several steps with the browser's high-quality image smoothing, plus an optional unsharp mask. There is no model inventing new detail — a 4× enlargement contains exactly the information the original had, spread over sixteen times as many pixels.
When is it still useful?
When you need a larger file for a print layout, a logo or line art to scale cleanly, a small screenshot to sit on a big slide, or pixel art enlarged with crisp edges. For those, stepped resampling looks noticeably better than a straight stretch in a document editor.
Why did 4× fail on my huge photo?
Browsers limit how large a canvas can be — roughly 16,384 pixels on a side and a total area cap. A 6,000 px photo at 4× exceeds it. Use a lower factor or crop first.
