How to make an AI pet passport photo
- Upload one clear photo of your dog, cat, rabbit, hamster or bird — front-facing, both eyes visible, soft daylight. Your browser shrinks it to 1024 px before it leaves the page.
- Pick a document and an outfit. 17 real ID formats (China 33×48 mm, US 2×2 in, Schengen 35×45 mm and more) and 20 outfits, from a black suit to a spacesuit. Hit “Surprise me” if you cannot decide.
- Generate, then download. In about 20 seconds you get a studio portrait of your own pet. Crop it to the exact document size at 300 DPI, lay it out on a 4×6 in print sheet, or build the playful PET PASSPORT card with your pet's name, breed and favourite snack.
Tips for the best likeness
- Fill the frame with one pet — crop out other animals, hands and leads first.
- Head straight on beats a cute head tilt: the model keeps the pose it is given.
- Avoid flash, heavy shade and busy backgrounds; even daylight near a window is ideal.
- Long-haired breeds, flat faces and unusual markings all work — if the first take loses a marking, regenerate; each run is slightly different.
FAQ
Does it keep my pet's actual face?
Yes — that is the whole point. The prompt tells the model to keep the same species, breed, fur colours, markings, eyes and ears, and it edits your photo rather than inventing a new animal. Results are still AI, so tiny details (a freckle, one crooked whisker) can drift. Regenerate to get a closer take.
Which animals work?
Dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters and birds have dedicated settings; anything else (ferrets, guinea pigs, lizards, even a very patient horse) can use “Other”. The model needs a visible face, so a photo of a sleeping curled-up ball will not do much.
Can I use this for a real document?
No. The ID photo, the print sheet and the passport card are novelty keepsakes — no authority accepts an AI-generated portrait, and the card deliberately uses a paw emblem and a decorative, meaningless machine-readable strip instead of any real national design. The one practical use: many vets and pet-passport schemes just want a clear head-and-shoulders photo of the animal, and the 35×45 mm pet-passport print sheet fits that — requirements vary, so check with your vet.
Is my photo stored?
No. The photo is sent to PocketPlay's AI backend, redrawn and discarded. Nothing is kept on our side and nothing is used for training. The generated results live only in this browser tab — close it and they are gone. Fair-use limit: 5 photos per minute per visitor.
